Kawartha Ethanol Inc. is a state-of-the-art Ethanol Production facility located in Havelock, Ontario. We currently have the opportunity for the following position:

Process Operator

Reporting to the Production Manager the successful candidate will join an existing Production Team. This is a twelve-hour continental swing shift based on 84 hours worked in each two week pay period with every other weekend off. The production team is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the various production processes at our facility.

  • Safely & efficiently operate the production process within a team setting
  • Monitor & maintain the various utilities systems within our facility
  • Actively participate in continuous process improvement opportunities
  • Follow all plant policies & procedures
  • Complete process checklists and report any deviations to management
  • Complete detailed root cause/corrective action reports

Preference will be given to candidate’s who have accomplished any of the following:

  • Production / Process experience in a chemical plant or similar production facility.
  • Experience with Fermentation or Distillation processes.
  • Possess Trades, Chemical, or Technology diploma

Skills listed below would be an asset:

  • Experience with a Distributed Control System (DCS)
  • Competent in reading & understanding policies, documents & drawings
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Strong mechanical skills and the ability to follow & understand process flow
  • Good troubleshooting skills and a natural attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
